What About Me?
I've been making up stories and playing make-believe my whole life. It's hard to remember a time in my childhood when I wasn't running around with some sort of toy weapon fighting some sort of imaginary monster or jotting down my own fantasy adventures.
I've been an avid consumer of nearly all things fantasy or sci-fi for as long as I can remember. Don't even get me started on Star Wars. Or Lord of the Rings. Or Harry Potter. Or The Chronicles of Narnia. Or Game of Thrones. Or Magic: The Gathering. Or Dungeons & Dragons. Or...you get the point.
Fast forward to today. I live in the beautiful mountains of Virginia with my amazing wife and wonderful children. In addition to being an author, I'm an educator working as an assistant principal in a middle school. Working with those kiddos actually inspired me to finally dust off my long-dead dream of becoming an author.
In fact, I've written a couple of books (under the name of J.E. Stamper) based on my experiences working with at-risk middle schoolers. You can check them out here, if you're so inclined. (No pressure!)
Helping people is a passion of mine, and it's my hope that my stories can bring a little more fun and joy into my readers' lives.
